- Description
- This collection of essays had its origins during the planning of celebrations for the Hunter Valley bicentenary, which took place in 1997. This occasion provided the opportunity for a project that aimed to give the history of gays and lesbians in the Hunter region of New South Wales some public acknowledgement. A series of meetings was held to decide how the Hunter’s non-heterosexual communities should celebrate the bicentenary.
